Our Pre-K Program

(Must turn 4 by October 1 of the school year)

The focus in our Pre-K class is on developing reading readiness skills while continuing to enhance the social and emotional well-being of your child. By the end of the year, children will be ready to enter Kindergarten, complete with a love for learning and a strong Jewish identity. They will have learned to be kind and caring human beings who view the world through Jewish values.

Children attend 5 days (Mon-Fri) from 9:00am to 12:30pm and can stay for extended day (12:30 to 2:30pm). Early drop-off (7:30am) and after care (2:30 to 4:00pm) are also available. Children who stay for this program will enjoy different afternoon activities each day. Enrichment programs include Ooey Gooey Science (hands on science/nature activities), Operation Exploration (art-based using different media), Tae Kwon Do, Preschool Performers (drama, music, and dance), and Amazing Athletes (learning about and playing a variety of different sports). There is also a short state-mandated rest period in which rest mats are provided; children may choose to bring their own small blankets.

How Our Program Works

Our early childhood education programs are tailored to provide the best learning experience for your child. We have amazing veteran teachers with a strong commitment to our program and years of experience with children of all backgrounds, strengths, and challenges. Our school designs programs based on a collection of strong early childhood developmental philosophies such as Piaget, Montessori, and Reggio-Emilia with an added foundation rooted in Jewish values and traditions. We teach children how to be kind and caring people by developing the social skills to do so.

Each classroom provides a dramatic play center, science center, block center, fine motor games/toys center, and an art center. Children have opportunities to investigate fine motor activities, arts & crafts, science tables, block construction, writing centers, and literature centers.
